Balouris Eye Center
Welcome to Balouris Eye Center, provider of the Butler community's medical and surgical eye care. The Center is a continuation of the practice originally founded in 1971 by John L. Wick, M.D. Drs. Balouris and DeRenzo are western Pennsylvania natives and trained at the Eye and Ear Institute, UPMC Pittsburgh. Both are certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Surgeries such as no stitch, no patch cataract surgery are done in the adjacent Butler Ambulatory Surgery Center. Laser surgery for diabetes and glaucoma are performed in our office. Both facilities are located at Benbrook Medical Center. Drs. Balouris and DeRenzo also have an office in the Harmony area.
Comprehensive retinal services are provided by Drs. Sorr and Hoffman of Everett & Hurite Ophthalmic Association. They treat all conditions affecting the retina including macular degeneration with the use of Lucentis®, retinal detachment, and advanced diabetic retinopathy.
Other features of this website include the ability to download a new patient form. Also, contact lenses can be ordered using a secure online form, and the office can be contacted via email for medication refills.
Our goal is to provide the highest quality eye care in a personal and comfortable manner. Drs. Balouris and DeRenzo and staff look forward to serving your eye care needs.
